THERAPY FOR HUMANS WHO FEEL A LOT, THINK TOO MUCH, AND WANT SOMETHING MORE.

COMPLEX TRAUMA

The past may be over, but your mind, body, and relationships may still be responding to what happened. Therapy can help you understand those responses without treating them as evidence that something is wrong with you.

WHAT BRINGS PEOPLE HERE

Anger

Anger itself isn’t the problem. But the outbursts, regret, shame, or damaged relationships in it’s wake make it clear there is something worth understanding.

Anxiety + BURNOUT

You’re still getting everything done (maybe just barely) while feeling increasingly exhausted, distressed, or completely numb under the surface. Therapy can help you listen before your body has to yell.

THERAPY THAT MAKES ROOM FOR THE WHOLE STORY

HI, I’M CHANELLE (M.s. PLMFT)

I’m a socioculturally attuned therapist and much of my work involves navigating complex trauma, shame and burnout. That might be showing up in your life like mom rage, guilt, communication struggles, depression, eating disorders, or something else entirely. The thing is, you don’t need to know exactly what to call what’s happening to know that something isn’t working. We can figure that out together.

Sessions with me are conversational, collaborative, and sometimes a little unexpected. I am going to show up like a human being and hope that it starts to feel safe enough for you to do that, too.

WHAT WE MIGHT DO

This really depends on you and what your needs are that day or that week. We might need to keep things light, and protect you having a space where things aren’t heavy. We might draft that text you’ve been dreading together. We might sit on the floor and stretch, or pull out the coloring books. While we’re doing that, the internal work is still happening. That’s relational therapy. The experience of letting your emotions and your reality exist in front of someone who is not going to judge you for them. Ultimately, the goal of our work is for you to have more choice in how you respond (not just react) and greater trust in your own voice.
